the garden

I come into the garden alone while the dew is still on the roses

and the voice that I hear falling on my ear

  the Son of God discloses

My Dad

In loving memory of my Dad

He was my father and friend, my dad.

I'll always remember the last hug we had. . .

As near a perfect father as a man can be. . .

A perfect fit from God for me.

Tears fill my eyes . . .

Thinking of moments passed by.

Teasing comments, knowing glances

Inside jokes. . . taken chances.

Lost moments that hang and haunt

Unsaid words that sometimes taunt . . .

Times we shared that help to heal,

The awful loss I sometimes feel

Though not much was ever said,

The love was felt deep and strong

With love like that you can't go wrong
